Farm with body and soul

The Ratzenböck family has been working the Paulhof farm in the shelterzone of the Neusiedlersee national park for five generations. Proven agricultural methods and hours of sun result in high-quality grains and vegetables. Our guiding principles are sustainability and respect for the health of humans and the environment. Therefore, we voluntarily undergo the GLOBAL GAP Standards review for the certifcation of our agricultural products. We apply agricultural methods that preserve the environment and avoid synthetic farming and agricultural materials.

OUR PRODUCTS

ONION

YELLOW AND RED

Mild winter conditions are conducive to healthy crops of winter onions as well as summer onions which can be stored for long periods. We dry the onions slowly and carefully in our own drying plant. This helps the onions to develop a perfect skin which keeps them fresher for longer during storage. Depending on the customer’s requirements, the onions can be packed in 5, 10 or 25 kg nets or in a big bag. AMA G.A.P. Certified (GLOBAL G.A.P.).

UNSERE PRODUKTE

The potato itself has a wonderful yellow colour and is very tasty. Depending on the customer’s requirements, the potatos can be packed in 5, 10 or 25 kg nets or in a big bag. AMA G.A.P. Certified (GLOBAL G.A.P.)

GRAIN

BARLEY
WHEAT
CORN

Burgenland is a quality wheat growing region. The region has a Pannonian climate and deep, humus-rich soil that allows us to produce top quality wheat. While the drier conditions mean that the yields are lower than in the foothills of the Alps, Pannonian wheat is known far beyond Austria’s borders for its excellent quality for baking. We also grow corn and barley on request.

UNSERE PRODUKTE

SOY

Soy has been grown in Austria for over 120 years. This is the northernmost area with soybean production. These soybeans have a special geographical advantage that makes them healthier than those grown further south: because the plants need to cope with colder weather conditions, they produce a special compound which protects them from the cold. The compound in question, called isoflavone, has a range of health benefits, including being an anticarcinogen. The further north soybeans are grown, the more of these secondary compounds they contain and the healthier they are for human consumption. This means that Austrian soybeans meet the world’s highest quality standards.

The combination of fertile, healthy soil and outstanding climate conditions result in an oil with a pleasantly nutty flavor, made from 100% guaranteed Austrian pumpkin seeds. You can taste the hours of sun, without the use of pesticides! The seeds are dried and then pressed in small batches. This means that there is always high quality, freshly pressed oil available. Pumpkin seed oil is rich in antioxidants (which play a preventative roleagainst the narrowing of arteries and against aging processes), unsaturated fatty acids, carotenoids, trace elements, minerals, and vitamins.

UNSERE PRODUKTE

HONEY

WebShop

Due to the high biodiversity and range of cultivated plants (rapeseed, acacia, lime trees, pumpkin blossoms and sunflowers) the conservation area is an ideal place for producing high quality honey. The honey types in our product range are exclusively from the regions around the Neusiedlersee Seewinkel National Park which has an average of 300 days of sun per year. The bee hives and the wax meet all requirements under organic produce regulations.
